Deroyal Algidex Ag Silver Wound Packing Strip is a sterile cotton gauze with a maltodextrin and ionic silver alginate matrix. Silver is evenly distributed in the ionic state in the Algidex Ag Packing Gauze. The dressing has long-lasting antimicrobial activity against a wide range of microbial organisms, lasting up to three (3) days. It's ideal for packing against a wound bed and absorbs exudate from dermal wounds at a deeper level. When the gauze is packed against the wound, it reduces odor from the wound and creates its barrier of protection.
