Systagenix Promogran Matrix Wound Dressing maintains a physiologically moist microenvironment at the wound surface. It utilizes a unique combination of 45% oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) and 55% collagen in a sterile, freeze dried composite. Combination binds matrix metalloproteases in the dressing, creating an environment that attracts cells and is conducive to granulation tissue formation, epithelialization and rapid wound healing.

A RCT in diabetic foot ulcers comparing effect of PROMOGRAN with control therapy in 276 patients

How to Use Promogran Matrix Collagen Dressing?

Promogran_Prisma_Dressing_Application Opening the pouch Peel back the tray cover and leave dressing in tray. If necessary, PROMOGRAN PRISMA™ can be cut using clean scissors or folded to fit the wound bed.

  • Small or deep wound: For a small or deep exuding wound, cut the dressing prior to application or pack dressing into the wound.
  • Wet wound: If the wound bed is wet apply the dressing directly.
  • Dry wound: If the wound is dry moisten the dressing in the wound or in the tray.
Promogran_Prisma_Dressing_Application Cover with a dressing such as a non-adherent contact layer like ADAPTIC TOUCH™ or a foam dressing such as TIELLE™. Choose the secondary dressing based on the level of exudate. Apply any cover or retention/compression bandage if required.

Removal of secondary dressing:

  • Carefully remove the secondary dressing.
  • It is not necessary to remove any residual PROMOGRAN PRISMA dressing during dressing changes.
