It also protects the clinician, clothing and bed linen from blood or exudate strike-through. Due to a highly absorbent pad and a high vapor permeability of the backing film, the dressing offers good total fluid handling. The polyacrylate adhesive is designed to be gentle to the skin but at the same time provide secure fixation. The easy-to-remove protection paper permits sterile application and simplifies dressing application. The stability of the fabric/ film laminate also supports ease of application</li> <li><strong>Areas of Use:</strong><br /> - Mepore Pro can be used in a wide variety of wounds which have low to moderate exudate levels. These include surgical wounds, minor burns, cuts and abrasions</li> <li><strong>Directions for Use:</strong><br /> -<strong> </strong>Remove outer half of release film<br /> - Gently fixate to skin at one end of incision site<br /> - Position dressing over incision site. Do Not Stretch<br /> - Remove remaining half of release liner and smooth adhesive border to the skin<br /> - To remove, loosen top edge of adhesive border and slowly peel the dressing from the skin in the direction of hair growth<br /> - Change Mepore Pro as indicated by wound condition or existing protocol</li> <li><strong>Precautions:</strong><br /> -<strong> </strong>Care should be taken to minimize skin tension that could cause mechanical damage to the skin<br /> - Ensure that Mepore Pro is not applied under tension<br /> - When applying over joints, be careful to apply in such a way that it does not impair flexibility of joints<br /> - After some surgical interventions, excessive swelling may occur. In such a case, a more flexible dressing such as Mepore Film polyurethane film is recommended in order to minimize skin tension<br /> - The wound should be inspected for signs of infection according to clinical practice<br /> - In case of clinical signs of infection (pain, redness, swelling or unusual odor or discharge) continued use of Mepore Pro should be determined by a health care
