Medline Avant Gauze Sterile Drain Sponges are designed to absorb liquid from wound sites and other areas, where removal of unwanted liquified matter is needed. Drain Sponges showcase a unique fenestration that allows them to lay flat when wrapped around a drain tube. Without it, the sponge gauze will pucker and decrease effectiveness by allowing the fluids to pool around the drainage tube.
