Coloplast Atrac-Tain Moisturizing Cream provides great moisturising relief for severely afflicted dry, scaly, and cracked skin; Alpha Hydroxy Acid maintains moisture, improving skin elasticity and crack resistance. It has a 10% urea content and a 4% alpha hydroxy acid content (lactic acid). The water-binding capacity of the epidermis (stratum corneum) is increased by 10% urea, which attracts water to dry skin cells. 4 percent alpha hydroxy acid improves skin suppleness and crack resistance by retaining moisture. It also works as an exfoliator, allowing dry skin cells to be sloughed away more easily.
