How to Apply Maxorb Extra Ag Silver Dressing?

Preparation:

Step 1: Cleanse the wound environment using an appropriate wound cleanser.

Step 2: Ensure the wound's skin is dry and apply proper skin prep, as preferred.

	1. Remove the dressing from the package.
	2. Apply the dressing to the wound, covering all areas of the injury with a slight overlap to peri-wound skin. For deep wounds, loosely fill the damage.
	3. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing.

Contraindications:

• Dry or lightly exudating wounds
• Individuals with a known sensitivity to alginates or silver
• To control heavy bleeding
• Surgical implantation

Change Frequency:

• Dressing change frequency will depend on wound condition and the level of exudates.
• Initially, it may be necessary to change the dressing every 24 hours
• Maxorb Extra Ag may be left in place for up to 21 days
