How to use 3M Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream?
Step 1: Get your stuff ready.
- 3M Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream
- A special cleanser for your skin
- Something to soak up stuff (like a pad or brief)
- Soft cloth(s)
- Gloves
Step 2: Take off the dirty pad.
Step 3: Clean and dry your skin.
- Wet the cloth with the skin cleanser.
- Spray the cleanser on your skin and wipe it clean.
- Keep doing it until your skin is all clean. You don't need to rinse with Cavilon No-Rinse Skin Cleanser, but check the directions for other cleansers.
- Dry your skin really well.
Step 4: Put on the cream.
- Squeeze a little bit of 3M Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream on your hand or fingers (with gloves on). Don't use it too much.
- Rub the cream on all the skin that might touch pee or poop. Massage it until it's gone.
- Put more on during the day if needed, but not too much.
Step 5: Put on something to soak up stuff.
Step 6: Write down what you did.
- If your skin looks red or weird, tell someone.
- Think about how rubbing or pressing on your skin might be causing it if it's over a bony spot.

- Be careful not to get this stuff in your eyes. Only use it on the outside of your body.
- Don't use it on big cuts, animal bites, or really bad burns. If things get worse or don't get better after a week, talk to a doctor.
