How to apply Skintegrity Hydrogel Gauze?

  • Cleanse wound with normal saline or wound cleanser and gently dry surrounding area.
  • Fill wounds loosely with unfolded, saturated gauze pads.
  • Cover wound with appropriate waterproof cover dressing, sach as stratsorb. Skintegrity hydrogel may dry out sooner if a non-waterproof dressing is used.

When to reapply Skintegrity Gauze?
  • Dressing may be left in place up to 3 days, or as directed.
  • If fluid leaks from the dressing, change it immediately.

Contraindications:
  • Contraindicated for patients with known hypersensitivity to components of the gel.
  • Heavily exudating wounds.
