When to use Bioclusive Plus Dressing?
Bioclusive Plus Transparent Dressing is used for the management of wounds that have either no or light levels of exudate. It should be used under the direction of a healthcare professional for the following indications:
- Minor burns
- Skin biopsies
- Donor sites
- Superficial pressure areas and leg ulcers
- Clean, closed, post-operative wounds
- Cuts and abrasions
BioclusivePlus clear patch is also suitable for:
- Securing Central Venous Catheters
- Securing peripheral IVs
- Use as a secondary cover dressing
- Reducing shear and friction forces on vulnerable areas
Dressing change frequency is dictated by both good wound care practice and the specific condition of the wound.

Bioclusive Plus wound dressing:
- Provides a barrier to viruses 27 nm in diameter or larger (e.g. HIV and Hepatitis B)† and to bacteria

Bioclusive Plus Dressing Application
- Prepare the wound according to the local wound management protocol
- Ensure the skin surrounding the wound is clean, dry and free from grease, soaps or detergents.
- Choose an appropriate size dressing to allow at least a 2 cm border to overlap the wound edge.

1. Remove the larger, central release liner from the adhesive underside of the dressing and apply the dressing directly on to the center of the wound bed, adhesive side down.
Press the exposed adhesive side of the dressing on to the skin surrounding the wound.

2. Grasp the outer release liner tabs from the underside of the dressing. peel away the tabs and press the remaining edges onto the skin using a rolling motion. Ensure the dressing adheres well to the skin.

3. Once the dressing is secure, grasp the upper release liner tabs and peel away from center of the dressing outwards.

Dressing Removal
To remove Bioclusive plus patch from the wound gently peel and lift one corner of the dressing from the skin whilst peeling the dressing off by stretching horizontally (not vertically) and in the direction of hair growth.
