Abena Hydrocolloid Dressing is an adhesive wound contact dressing. Hydrocolloid Dressing absorbs wound fluid and provides a moist environment which supports the healing process of the body and promotes autolytic debridement (removal of necrotic material from the wound) without damaging new tissue. Hydrocolloid Dressings act as a barrier to the wound against bacterial, viral, and other external contamination, which helps minimize the potential for exposure to nosocomial or infectious agents.
