Smith & Nephew Profore Wound Contact Layer is made of knitted viscose rayon. It is designed to act as an interface between ulcerating or granulating wounds and conventional absorptive dressings. Allows exudate to pass freely from the wound site. It is unlikely to elicit any tissue reaction so are ideal for use on their own but can be used in conjunction with a medicament of choice. It can be removed from the wound at any stage by gently stretching diagonal corners and lifting upwards from the edges.

    - Moist wound environments have been established as optimal environments for the management of the wound

    If reddening or sensitization occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional
